When we started Latitude Encounters we knew that we wanted to create a different kind of tourism
At Latitude, we want to show you that we are not just any tourism company.
The experiences you will have with us, whether on land or sea, are sure to be one of a kind. We have created our trips based on our experiences in the water and the changing seasons so we can get you to the right place at the right time and let mother nature do her thing.
We aim to move and inspire you so that you will go one to inspire others. We want you to experience our planet and it’s most amazing inhabitants so that you too will go on to protect them. We do our best to be responsible in all of our actions, from not using single-use plastic, to the way our guides and captains are trained to respect wildlife. Every aspect of Latitude has been considered to reflect our values and we know that every day we will be able to learn and become better.
We believe that tourism when done right can be an incredible tool for education, conservation, and science. Wildlife adventure must go hand in hand with conservation actions and education in order to have a real and long-lasting impact on both the travelers and the local community.
A core part of every adventure with Latitude is science, research, and education. We are actively participating with local marine biologists in daily data collection that is used in current research and conservation efforts. Monitoring and data collection is very expensive and time-consuming. By participating in simple data collection, we help local researchers in a variety of conservation projects.
We believe tourism aided research is fundamental to conservation. To protect, we must first understand.
