Apnea Bali in Baja California

In July we had Eli and Valentina from Apnea Bali teaching freediving courses in Cabo. Although you don’t need to be a freediver to experience any of our encounters, having a solid base will give you more comfort in the water. Here’s how it went!

Apnea Bali is one of the most recognized freediving schools in the world with over 10 years of experience and 4000+ certifications. This summer they brought their experience to Baja to share their passion for the underwater world. Eli and Valentina both happen to be Mexican so being able to teach at home is always a great feeling.

The summer months in Cabo mean warm waters (27-28 celsius) and a beautiful blue that stuns with its beauty.

From July 20th - 1st October they ran three AIDA ** (level 1) courses and had 10 certified freedivers! But it wasn’t all teaching. We ran a shark expedition for the new freedivers and everyone had magnificent encounters, even those that felt a bit nervous at first managed to get in the water.

Eli and Fer are friends since 2016 and it was a great opportunity for these ocean lovers to catch up and have some adventures of their own! With a group of friends they headed up to La Ventana where they were able to see big school of fish, sea lions at la reina, they freedive along a beautiful wall of corals and swam with more than 30 dolphins.

This month, Eli and Vale are back for more courses and adventures! First, we’re headed on a five-day Marlin expedition to Magdalena Bay and then Level 1 and 2 freediving courses will then be running from Oct. 29 - Nov. 7th.

It’s been great having them in Baja and we just love seeing the freediving community expanding!
